Frank Gailey traded from Toronto Blue Jays to Philadelphia Phillies

Oak Sports Management client Frank Gailey has been traded from the Toronto Blue Jays to the Philadelphia Phillies for OF Ben Francisco. Gailey, a native of Philadelphia, attended Archbishop Carroll High School and West Chester University. Last season, he helped the New Hampshire Fisher Cats win the Eastern League Championship while posting a combined 5-6 record with 2 saves. In 4 minor league seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, Gailey was 23-15 with a 2.45 ERA in 304.1 IP (69 BB/293 K). In 2010, he also was named by MiLB.com as the Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Reliever of the Year.

Frank’s comments on being dealt to the Phillies: ”I wouldn’t have begun my baseball career if it wasn’t for the Blue Jays. They are a class act organization and I am thankful. I have learned a lot and it’s really a bitter sweet moment for me but I am very excited to get the opportunity to play for the team I grew up watching and rooting for. It’s a dream come true to be part of the Phillies”
